On Sunday 7th December 2025, Enjoy Church stepped out once again for Serve Day—a day dedicated to loving our community in practical, joy-filled ways. From the youngest to the oldest, our church family came together with one purpose: to serve.
Bringing Christmas Cheer to Waverley Court
One of our teams spent the morning at Waverley Court Residential Home, where they shared tea, mince pies, and plenty of festive cheer with the residents. What began as simple conversations quickly became meaningful moments—stories exchanged, laughter shared, and hearts lifted. It was a reminder that sometimes the greatest gift we can give is simply our time and presence.
A Festive Morning for Enjoy Church Kids
Back at church, our Enjoy Church Kids were having a Christmas celebration of their own—and what a morning they had! From party games and crafts to McDonald’s and festive treats, the room was filled with excitement and joy. Their energy added an extra sparkle to the whole day.
Preparing Hampers of Hope
While the kids enjoyed their celebration, another team worked hard behind the scenes, assembling Christmas hampers for the guests who would be joining us later for our Christmas Banquet. Each hamper was thoughtfully put together as a small gesture of love and blessing for the families attending.
Blessing Foster Families at Our Christmas Banquet
One of the highlights of Serve Day was our ability to bless 60 North Somerset foster carers and the children they care for with a special Christmas Banquet. It was a privilege to honour these incredible families who give so much throughout the year.
The menu featured roast turkey with all the trimmings, followed by a rich chocolate brownie dessert. There were games, craft activities, and even a visit from Santa himself—complete with gifts for every child. The room was filled with laughter, excitement, and the warmth of community.
A Huge Thank You to Our Volunteers
Across all our Serve Day activities, we had over 70 volunteers serving with joy, energy, and dedication. Their hard work made every moment—from the smallest detail to the biggest celebration—absolutely spectacular.
Every family also left with a goodie bag filled with Christmas treats and fun activities to enjoy together over the festive season.
A Day to Remember
Serve Day 2025 was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with open hearts and willing hands. We are incredibly proud of and grateful for everyone who played a part in making the day such a success.
